Not sure what to say?

Every time I have dinner at PF Market I think of Leon Smith. It was the first and last place I had a meal with him. He remains indelible in my heart. I am grateful for all the family members he treated including myself. I was in the hospital for over a week under his care during Easter week and he visited me every day. I will never forget. Frank Astorino

I just saw this, I am one of his lucky student. It was an honor to know Dr. Smith.

Just saw this , and am sorry to hear of his passing He cared for me in 1983, and indeed diagnosed me when others couldn´t . He sought me out later to tell me I was one of 500 patients who had accumulated with my somewhat rare illness. A truly great man and physician Frank Machiaverna MD, FACS

One of the most generous people I've ever met, he correctly diagnosed me when my previous doctors couldn't. He saved my life and I'll always be grateful. I send my deepest sympathies to his family, my thoughts and prayers are with them.

My deepest condolences to Dr Leon Smiths family and friends. This great man saved my life. I was on deaths doorstep going from Dr to Dr. My pharmacist Alan Michalka, referred me to this world renowned infectious disease Dr in Livingston. I had undiagnosed celiac disease for 3 years and weighted a mere 68lbs at the age of 50. Within two weeks, my angel on earth, Dr Leon Smith, had me on the mend and within four weeks gained 8 lbs. Dr Smith also diagnosed me with a very rare infection that he...

At the present time, I have a friend who is in the hospital with a pericardial effusion. The physcians here in Albuquerque NM are having a difficult time diagnosing and treating her and frankly, I'm worried about her. On Christmas Day, when I visited her, I told her about a doctor who I remembered when I studied medical technology at St Michaels Hospital in 1964. I told her about how he diagnosed a young man with a serious bacterial infection to his arm and how he saved his arm and his life...

The greatest man I have ever had the privilege to meet. Yes he saved my life after two other hospitals were not capable. RIP

A brilliant but supremely compassionate physician. He demanded (thankfully) the best efforts from his Residents and Fellows; we were all better for it.
He took a chance on me. I owe him my entire career.
God bless you, Dr. Smith.
