Leon A. Smith

I had the privilege of being an acquaintaince of Leon Smith for only a few short years, but that was enough time to know the joy he spread to those around him. Upon first meeting him, I felt as though we had been friends for years. That was the magic he had. The last few times I saw him, I would say to him "It's good to see you", and he would laughingly respond "It's good to be seen". I will miss seeing his smile and the bright ray of light that surrounded him. I extend my deepest condolences...

Mr. Smith, since 1954 you were my second dad. I was your third daughter, "Carole Smith" as you so nicknamed me. You were a great man of God with a true love of life, family, and friends. Your legacy is strong, steadfast, and everlasting for those of us who were fortunate to know you. As we sadly say goodbye, we know that God is smiling.
