Wanted the family to know how much we loved and enjoyed taking care of "Doc" and seeing him three times a week at dialysis. He always brightened up the unit and will be greatly missed by the other patients (who he considered to be friends) and All of the staff at DAVITA.
Doc and myself shared a common bond because his mom and I had the same first name "ORA". We talked about it often. We will miss him.

Leon "Doc" Streigel and I go back a number of years. Prior to WWII Leon and I were in the "Sons of the American Legion Drum and Bugle Corps". Both of our fathers were veterans of WWI and they were great supporters of patriotism.
In the 1940s everyone was either drafted or volunteered for military service. At that point our connection was broken. Leon went to the Navy and I joined the Army. Leon returned after V-J Day and pursued his education. I on the other hand became a...

Our condolences to the Striegel Family in their time of loss. Through the years "Doc" cared for our family's pets, especially a Siamese cat named Lucy. After his retirement we would meet him occasionally and he would always laugh and say to us, "I don't remember your name but I do remember that you had one of the meanest Siamese cats I ever saw". She was a terror. Just wanted to share one of our memories of "Doc".

Bob- I know how much you will miss your Dad but my Dad will be happy to have a sailing buddy up in heaven with him. Doc was a wonderful family man and a great vet. I have wonderful memories of him and your Mom at the sailing club, esp. when he surprised her with the mink coat!
Please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers.
Fondly,

Dear Dr. William Striegel,
My condolences for the passing of your father. Although I did not know your father personally, you introduced us several times at our Greek church functions. May his memory be eternal with the Lord.
