Not sure what to say?

To the Tabb family, I'm sorry to hear of the loss of Mr Tabb. He was my first music teacher and taught me to play the clarinet. He had such confidence in me when I didn't. How could I not continue to play? I played from 5th grade all the way through HS. What a wonderful man, teacher. He will be missed.

Wendy and Family,
People come and go in our lives during our years and some really make a difference..like your Dad. When Leon joined us at 70 on I-70 for the birthday party and chose to say few words and talked about the importance of 'family', witch hit a home run for us!! We loved his sense of humor and and feel so Blessed to have had him cross our path. His love of people and passion for music certainly has touched many of his students as witnessed by their comments.
Thank you...

So much to say about my great father-in-law, but I can only manage a little.
He started so many conversations with-
I MUST tell you..... and then he would! So often when telling him of places we were going he would say he had been there and tell us all about it- sometimes we wondered if it was all true- but it was. His knowledge of music was legendary and we learned a lot about blues music from him.
Whenever he visited us his breakfast routine started about 10 and lasted 3 to 4...

I am just learning of the passing of Mr. Tabb. If it weren't for him my love of woodwinds would never have been fulfilled. His dedication to and caring of his students was evident. Even more so as I grew up and became a woman. Let your memories of your loved one carry you through your grief.

Over the last week I was told something very powerful; in life you can either be an example or a warning sign. Pop pop was hands down an example. I learned so much from him, one very fond memory was on a long drive one day he told my sister Brooke and I the entire life story of Elvis. And I mean the ENTIRE life story. His memory and love and passion for knowledge always struck and inspired me. He will be celebrated and missed by many.

Mr. Tabb got me started on the cornet in 1958. We were lucky to have him introduce us to music.

As others have written here, he was a true gentleman with an endless reservoir of patience.

-- Bruce Strickland, PMHS 1966

Mr. Tabb (that is what I always called him) was a dedicated teacher, an inspiration, and Pennsville's Pied Piper ... but I mean that in the best sense. He led more students to the world of music than you can imagine and it is entirely his fault that I am a Trombone player and have a love for music and performance and have been so fortunate to have played in Orchestra, Marching Band, Concert Band, Brass Ensemble, and Jazz Band. Mr. Tabb bought me a Vuvuzela (one of those red plastic horns)...

Mr. Tabb taught me to play the clarinet many, many years ago. Such a great man. Such a great teacher. I still have that clarinet. My condolences to his family.

I loved talking and doing laps with Mr. Tabb at the Swim Club when I was little. He was a sweet man and I'm happy that he can finally be with his wife again, cause I know he missed her a lot.
