Leon Henry Wagner, age 75, died on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at his home. He was born on September 27, 1936 to the parents of Henry and Henrietta (Frey) Wagner. He was raised in East Bristol. Leon married Joyce Dushack on October 5, 1957 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary in Sun Prairie. Leon worked for Gardner's Bakery and Shell Oil before he established his own business of L.H. Wagner Oil as a Mobil Oil Distributor for over 30 years. He was also a proud owner of Wagner's Travel Center and Glacier Mobil Mart. He retired in 2005. Leon loved all sports, especially Sun Prairie football and basketball. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling and referring W.I.A.A. football on Friday nights. He proudly sponsored his own bowling and softball teams and for over 20 years coached girls' softball. He enjoyed being a part of the card club gang and would play cards whenever he had the chance. Leon's favorite pastime was visiting the cabin he and Joyce owned. Days spent fishing, boating, cards and being with family is what he treasured most. He loved his children and grandchildren. He was always excited to watch the grandkids play in their sporting events and always made sure to share his "loving" opinion. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, whom he adored for 54 years; four children, Terry, Lee (Patty), Cindy (Steve) Richardson, Becky (Todd) Carey; grandchildren, Derek (Jamie), Kaia (Andy), Kayla (Aaron), Samantha, Alexandria, Heidi, Leif, Calvin, Tyler, Brian, Zack, Matthew; Cassidy; and great-grandchild Jeter; much loved mother-in-law Elinor Dushack; sisters, Marian Fabian, Carol (Dennis) Erstad, Joann (Danny) Markee; sisters-in-law, Joann Jordan, Suze (Cletus) Haag, Lizzy (Brian) Georgi, Jerry (Gary) Schwenn, and Toni Seltzner and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Robert; father in-law Jack Dushack; brothers-in-law, Howie Fabian, John, Louie and Alan Dushack, Alvin Jordan; nephews Randy Fabian and Greg Haag. Leon was a wonderful much loved man and his laugh was heart-warming. His sense of humor will carry on through his grandchildren. "We will see you where our eagles fly."
