Laurie, I was sorry to read of Leon's death. My condolences to you and the kids. You've been on my mind, and I send prayers for peace to all of you.

I was a student of Dr. Weisberg at Tulane. He was an excellent physician and teacher. Moreover, he was hilarious. One always knew that his lectures would be informative and entertaining. It is unfortunate that future medical students will not experience his unique style and brilliant teaching.

Leon Weisberg was one of my favorite people of all time -- brilliant, humble, unassuming, funny as hell, and a seemingly unending supply of time, attention and love for his physicians in training.

I was a medical student at Tulane when Dr. Weisberg was a new professor. He was one of the people who most inspired me to become a neurologist. He was a gifted teacher and clinician. I am saddened by death. My prayers go out to his family.

Dr. Weisberg performed Consultative Examinations (CE) for Disability Determinations Services for over twenty five years. It was a privilege and an honor to work with him. His services to the citizens of LA as a CE Provider will be sadly missed. Our prayers are with his family.

I am saddened to here of Dr. Weisberg passing. I served as his secretary for a brief time, but never in my 17 years of assisting physicians have I ever worked for such an astute and compassionate scholar – it was an honor. Whether via his teaching, research, care of patients, or be it all, Dr. Weisberg was venerated by everyone. He cared for patients referred from far and wide – rich or poor. Thanks for sharing this great leader (husband, father, and son) with us all. My thoughts and...

I am saddened to learn of Dr. Weisberg's passing and remember him as the gifted physician he was. I worked at Tulane during the 70's and 80's and though he may hardly have known me, never a time did we pass in the halls or whereve that he did not pass a friendly greeting.

God rest you Dr. Weisberg. And to his family my deepest sympathies.
