The World would be much better place if there were or LEON WILLIAMS. This man was the most professional and honest person one could hope for. It was a pleasure to have known and worked with him. GODS PEACE be his.

After time has passed, my fond memories are still alive and well. LEON was the kind of person one meets and makes a long lasting favorable impression. I'm so happy our paths crossed, and we connected!! RIP.

Leon was just such and honest and forthright person.I remember he went thru some difficult and challenging times in the Fire Department. For me, he was an inspiration!

In the mid 80's I took a DALE CARNEIGE course. Leon was an Instructor. I later became an Graduate Assistant. I'm sure Leon influenced that decision. I was a Police Officer. Police & Fire have a 'relationship'. As GA we worked at several classes, together. Some in GR. area, other at various locations. Jan, Jeff and Kirk, I only met your dad a couple of times. My impression of him was that he was a man of grace, kindness and intelligence. The story of his life makes me wish I'd had the opportunity to know him better. My thoughts are with you during this sad time.

I was Leon's pastor and friend in Fife Lake, from 1987 to 1994. Leon was a man who loved Jesus Christ and His Word. He began to go deep in the Scriptures, pray constantly, share his faith, and love and serve people. Leon especially had a heart for doing prison ministry. But Leon knew that his salvation was a gift. He was not earning God's favor. He was in love with his Savior and found joy in serving. I still have the large wooden cross Leon made. I still have the wooden kneeler he made. I...

I am very sorry to learn of the passing of Leon. I bow hunted with him and other friends in the 70s & 80s in the UP. We camped out in tentss We had a lot of good times around the camp fire in the evenings. Great memories. Again, very sorry.

He was such a wonderful man. He is where he wants to be in the presence of the Lord along with Jean. Sympathy to Jeff and Donna and the rest of the family

Leon was a leader and good brother to many of us firefighters throughout his career, he will be missed but never forgotten. RIP BROTHER
