Leona R. "Lee" Cook

I've known Lee and Charlie Bill since I was a kid in South Bend; my dad is also a United Methodist minister in Indiana.

Lee was also my high school guidance counselor (Maconaquah High School). I remember being called into her office one time; she was so excited because she had found the perfect scholarship for me. She didn't get past reading the first line, though, before I had to tell her that it didn't apply to me: I wasn't a native-born Hoosier. I was born in Illinois while Dad...
