Leona I. Cremeans, 52, of Huntington, West Virginia, wife of Harley Cremeans, went to be with Lord on Tuesday, February 11, 2003, from St. Mary's Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer. Calling hours are scheduled for Friday, February 14, 2003, noon, at Beard Mortuary, 3001 3rd Avenue, Huntington. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, 2 p.m., at the mortuary, officiated by the Rev. Israel G. Spaulding. Arrangements entrusted to Beard Mortuary, Huntington, West Virginia.
Leona will be deeply missed by many people. She was a very special person and touched the lives of everyone she came into contact with. I will never forget the love and support she gave me. My deepest sympathies go out to all of her family and friends.

I am a friend of Leona's and will not be able to attend the viewing or funeral. My husband died in late October from his battle with cancer. I spoke to Leona about his fight and she was so understanding and comforting. She truly was a wonderful, giving person. I found a passage in a book called "Winter Grief, Summer Grace - Returning to Life After a Loved One Dies" that was given to me by my sister recently. It has helped a great deal.
