Leona was a great and gracious lady. She encouraged all of her students and those around her. Each class she taught came out appreciating the arts. She taught us to listen to our hearts and how to use our creative side. A special thanks to Mike Reynolds who looked in on her in her later years. We were all blessed by her and her beautiful smile. Rest In Peace sweet lady.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Mrs. Head was my art teacher in high school. We got to see her mural in Tucumcarri on a field trip. She was quite an artist.

Mrs. Head was my fourth grade teacher at James Bickley. Her lessons about the meanings of winding the Maypole stand out in my memory. In CHS art she was an inspirational and motivated many of us to express ourselves in our art; specifiically for some in pastels, white ink, and charcoal. She was an excellent teacher and awesome listener.
