Not sure what to say?

Charlene and Family: I worked with Leonard at PP&L and he was a great boss. He was full of humor, and great understanding.

Sharron Heinrich

To all of Leonard's family - I worked for Leonard in the very late 70s and early 80s and thought he was wonderful. The things I learned from him about news reporting and asking the right questions has served me well for all the years since, even in my political career. I will miss him. Betty Sue Morris.

I knew him as Tony from WSU days. And I mostly remember his wonderful sense of humor. He showed up at a birthday party for my husband, John, bearing as a gift the door of an ancient Volkswagen. He livedand worked with a real flair. My deepest sympathies to his family. Roberta (Bobbie) Ulrich

I will never forget the first time I met Uncle Leonard after Joe and I were married he and I joked with each other back and forth he was such a neat man. He left a stamp on my heart.
May he rest in peace.

Charlene and Family: Tom and I wish we could be with you at this time. Just know we are thinking about you from Kansas! Love Tom and Carla David, Brenton and Kaitlyn and Noah,Elizabeth.

Dear Alvin, Marge and family -
Know that Leonard and all of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was a young pup, starting my career, at The Journal, and Leonard was the wily, savvy veteran at The Oregonian. At one time, we both worked the same story, and while we competed, he was the consummate gentleman and professional. A good man who helped me, and others, along the way. And that is not forgotten. RIP, Leonard.

Len was a wonderful, upbeat person when he was my mentor at the Oregonian and as I began my photojournalism career at the Columbian so many years ago. He was one of the good guys in this world and I am sorry for your loss.
