Leonard Lavelle Bass

Leonard Lavelle Bass, 74, of Fontaine, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 at his home. Born November 24, 1937 in Fontaine, son of Leonard and Myrtle Prock Bass. He was a carpenter, a veteran of the United States Navy and of the Pentecostal faith. He was united in marriage to Darlene Kennedy October 6, 1969. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Gerome Bass and a sister, Charlotte Lamb. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Bass of the home; five daughters, Angie Stuart of Walnut Ridge, Lisa Lane of Bono, Jamie Barnes of Bay, Tammy Kessler and Sherry Jacobs both of St. Louis; a son, Thomas Bass of St. Louis; fourteen grandchildren, Cody White of Walnut Ridge, Hunter Reynolds and Taylor Barnes both of Bay, Brice Lane and Braden Lane both of Bono, Thomas Bass, Timothy Bass, Oceania Jacobs, Angie Jacobs, Ashley Jacobs, Sky Kessler Haley Bass Nicole Bass and Melissa Bass all of St. Louis, Missouri; eight great grandchildren; a brother, Winford Bass of Fontaine; a sister, Barbara South of Sedgwick and many other relatives and friends.
