Not sure what to say?

Father Leonard please watch over us and pray for us from your heavenly home. Please ask Jesus, Mary and Joseph to hear our petitions and keep us and our family from all harm.

It is impossible to try to capture in words all that Father Leonard meant to me....father, grandfather, mentor, saint, reconcilor, conduit of God's love, friend, comedian, intellectual, and beautiful. His vision for the Church was that all people would come to see how much God loves them and that they would use the Gifts that God gave them to share that love with one another. With God's grace may we all one day live that vision.

Although I am not a Catholic, I had the privilege of meeting Father Leonard a couple of years ago and was so struck by the pure love that he emitted!! At that time and now, I know that I was in the presence of a true gift and am so grateful.

I remember the dedication of all the missionaries of The Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary! From Father Long, to Fr. Leonard, Fr. Joseph, Fr, Michael and Fr. Sal. They all put forth their best effort to make sure we were ministered to and safe. Life in Camden is tough, It is like a forgotten city. But the spirit of the Missionaries and especially Fr, Leonard will never be forgotten. He was a great with sculpting and I can still smell the clay he used in his studio in the old school at...

When everyone else forgot me,and believed the worst, Fr. Leonard was there with his support. He encouraged me to continue down the hard road of life. Now he is gone, and I am waiting for his first miracle. He will be the first American saint for the Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts. It is just sad that no one told me you had gone Padre...until just now.
I know you remember me and I shall always remember you.
Peace and joy to all the Missionaries, you have a lot to be proud of in...

Fr. Leonard was indeed special. He came into my life over 30 years ago, when as a young wife and mother, my husband was seriously ill. We were living with my family in Linwood at the time. My husband's family was Catholic while mine was not. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law went to Our Lady of Sorrows to inquire about a priest visiting us. Fr. Leonard soon showed up at our house and continued to visit for the next, and last, year of my husband's life. He and I were in touch...

Fr. Leonard was such a special man. He traveled to Camden to give the last rites to my mother as she was on her deathbed...He placed his hand on her head , she closed her eyes & went to be with God..It was like he personally escorted her to heaven..A moment I will never forget.

How do you describe this Man of God, very simply: BEAUTIFUL.

Father Leonard was involved in the Charismatic prayer group that both of my parents attended in the 1970's at Our Lady of Sorrows in Linwood. He was so full of the Joy of the Lord. When I met up with him again as an adult, he was even more filled with the Joy of the Lord. He came all the way to Cumberland County in 2006 to help us start a Servants of the Church group. He was so enthusiastic about it and he gave a beautiful talk about Unity. He wanted to come back and have a bi-lingual Mass to...
