What made him a special kind of friend was that he was obviously always in your corner, and made sure you knew it. We're all better people, those of us who had the good fortune of being Dr. Charpentier's friends.

I am so very sorry to hear about your father's passing. I know you were so very close to him. I remember him as alwys being so friendly and outgoing every time I was around him.
