Dear Frances, Bill, Linda, Terry and all the rest,

There's not a day goes by that I don't have some memory-seeing a photograph, reading a book, hearing children playing-of growing up on the Hill and playing with all of y'all on Lafayette, going to school. Jake was a fine man-my mother and father thought the world of each and every one of you. Even as a little kid, I always saw him as a humorous and witty guy. Rest assured that he will stay in my prayers.

I have so many fond memories of Jake growing up in Pratt City. It is so hard for us to find the words that might bring you comfort at this time of loss. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy. I only heard of Jake passing away today. Rosalie Wallace Harris and husband Ed and the entire Wallace family.

I was so sorry to hear about Jake's death. I know he will be greatly missed by family and friends. I have fond memories of him when I was growing up in Pratt City. He had the best smile! Such a sweet man.
