I've always held Rabbi Helman in high regard. May he rest in peace.

Shalom Dear Rabbi Helman,
As promised the last time we spoke, I will never forget you. You touched so many lives and blessed so many as you gave endlessly and tirelessly of yourself. We will never forget you.

Dear person....

Rabbi Leonard Helman and I played bridge together in the 1980s and became firm friends thereafter. He visited us in Sydney, Australia, a number of times (including our son's Barmitzvah, and we visited him at bridge tournaments in the USA and in his home town, Santa Fe. He was one of the highlights in our lives.

Rabbi Helman married us on April 4th 1982.We are still married 31 yrs. later.

Rabbi Helman presided over our wedding on May 28th, 1988. It was held in the garden yard of our good friends, Al and Kathy Jahner and Ellie and I will always remember The Rabbi's beautiful service. We enjoyed it all over again just a few days ago as we went thru the pictures of our 25th anniversary and were able to revisit the day with The Rabbi. We are truly blessed to have known this man.
