I have wonderful memories of Len. My favorites were of his sense of humor. When I would call to talk with Lorraine, he would tell me she was up on the roof doing repairs or she was laying bricks in the yard and other funny comments. He always made me laugh. I read his book about beIng a prisoner of war, twice. It was great. I was Lorraine´s PEO sister. I miss them both.

Len & Lorraine lived next door to my Mom at Brookdale before they moved to Almond Heights. He had donated his book about WWII to Brookdale´s library & that´s where I picked it up & read it. Len was in the same prisoner of war camp as my step dad, Stalag Luft III. I sent an autographed copy of his book to the Air Force Academy´s McDermott Library in Colorado Springs. It is now part of the Clark Special Collections. My Mom & I had lunch with Len & Lorraine where I gave him a loose leaf copy of...
