I miss you very much Grandpa. I know you're looking down on me though. I hope you saw that I finally got the 4.0 in school. You were always on my case about my grades and I always loved that you were. Christian proposed before my birthday, I hope you saw that too. I know you'd be happy for us and I know you will be with us on our wedding day. It's going to be in October of 2010. I hear thats when yours and Grandmas anniversary is. That will make it even more special. Keep looking down on me...

It's been a year and I feel sad missing your strength, encouragement and sense of humor. I think of you daily and even smile sometimes. I am very proud to be able to say that you are my Daddy. I love you.

Uncle Leonard will truly be missed. We're very happy he was able to visit us at the cottage and will think of him every time we see the rocking chair silhouettes he made us.
And now he finally knows the chocolate cake / whipped cream incident was really an accident!
With deepest sympathy,
