Leonard (Leonardo) Joseph Dona

Mr. Dona, as I will always remember him, was father to my dear childhood/forever friend Arlene and of course all her siblings. Looking back 50 something years later, I see that he was the glue that kept that family together, so hard working and a truly wonderful man. Dear Arlene and Family, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. He was a fantastic man . And I know he passed down his incredible values to his family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this unimaginable time. Let the good memories help sustain you. I know he is up there watching out for you.

Lenny was one of the most interesting people I have ever met. I loved hearing about his childhood in Italy, his world travels, his incredible hobbies. One of my favorite stories was when he biked the entire coast of Italy and he and his friend managed to gain access to a private concert (despite being in full biking gear) for only VIP political people and donors in Florence when they rolled up on their bikes with all their supplies and just asked if they could go through the museum to see...

Lenny and I met shortly after I began dating his daughter!! He worked on our cars and was always generous to the people he met ! Christmas at our house his house and always a good time watching Christmas shows Chevy Chase vacation five cd pack he would roar laughing! I will never forget how I met Diane ,Fourty years ago her dad was one damn good mechanic! I learned a bunch of great lessons from him !
