Condolences to the Levy family. Thank you Leonard for your WW II service. My parents were your generation and all of you learned patriotism requires work and sacrifice, not words.

i will really miss Leonard, he was an inspiration to me to just keep moving forward and enjoy life and keep chasing salmon. I loved that man and looked up to him as a great example of how to live. He told me great stories about being at Stanford and hanging out at the Bella Vista right down the street from my house while we had coffee at his breakfast table. His Friend Chris Norling

30 years ago when Leonard and the Levy family welcomed us as Clay Street neighbors, little did we realize it was going to turn into a lifetime friendship. Those 30 years included everything from shared Christmas brunches (featuring Leonard´s legendary gin fizzes), to birthday dinners at Harris´, Holly´s epic shopping trips with Loretta, as well as the selfless support they gave us during times of illness....too many memories to recount. I will always remember Leonard's smile. He was a pleasure to be with when we fished at Fireweed Lodge. We had many interesting and fun discussions about his San Francisco life. He will certainly be missed. I'm glad I took so many pictures of him over all these years. Bon Voyage

Leonard was an amazing man and an even better fisherman. I remember watching him meticulously crack crab at the Fireweed Lodge until he had at least of pound of meat to pile on top of a salad. It was a privilege knowing him.

To all the Levy Family, please accept my condolences of learning of Leonard's passing. Of course, Leonard was a devoted friend to my late father, Walter S. Newman and my mother, Ellen Magnin Newman, who still resides just a few blocks away from where Leonard lived for so many years. Leonard was a pure joy to be with on our annual fishing trips to Fireweed Lodge and it was always fun to witness Leonard's competitive juices to catch the biggest King Salmon during the trip.
