Leonard was a kind friendly person who was Nice to everyone he met! Ellen Davis Mellman

Leonard Mellman was my father's cousin. i picked acquaintance since father's cousin was not a choice. I last saw him when he lived on Panama Street before moving to Rittenhouse Square. Do I have the correct Leonard Mellman? I am not sure. My condolences to the family. My father was Peter Schneider and his sister Rita Yatchie kept in contact with him years ago. If interested, write back for more info. Thanks - susan

Hello. My name is Joan Pastor, PhD and I sat on the BOV with Len. I am truly heartbroken. I loved Len so so much. When I came to my first dinner as a new member of the BOV at Temple he was so warm and welcoming; I will never forget him. In recent years, I would make sure he sat close up due to his hearing and make sure he was comfortable et al. I just liked him so much.

On a walk through the park

Sending sincere condolences to Matthew and the whole family. Last year, my sister (Yona Diamond Dansky) and one of my brothers (David Diamond) and I had a delightful lunch with Leonard and two of his sisters. I've added a picture of us as we walked together through the park to the restaurant.

Len was one of the most inspirational people I have ever met. He sought to improve the lives of others and was an example of humble leadership, service and selflessness, qualities greatly needed in this day and age. He made this world a better place and Im thankful to have had the privilege of knowing him.

Please accept my condolences . I'm so sorry for the loss of your loved one. May the word of God comfort and strengthen you. 2 Thessalonians 2:16,17
