Not sure what to say?

So sad to hear of his passing. I grew up on Tybee and as a child my grandmother and Mom would take me to see his amazing sand castles and art. I was reminiscing about this with my boyfriend. I only knew him as Sandman and that's how I found this page. He was so kind and talented. 20 years later, he still has a special place in my heart and memory! Truly an amazing person that touched many lives.

Leonard painted several logos and signs for me on buildings. I was in awe of his old school painting and imagination and freehand talent. He was a beautiful mind. He didn't need much. Never ask for much. I learned later of his sand castle building skills. Unreal creations. All he did was artistry. All from a humbling glowing man of quite large proportions. A gentle giant. Leonard was a childhood friend of mine. We had shared many wonderful times together as friends well into our adulthood. His talent, honesty and bright spirit were like none other. I will always cherish his friendship.

To Leonard's family:
Our hearts are sad of the loss of such a wonderful, smart and talented guy I had the chance to stop and talk to from time to time. I admired his work for many years and now they will be memories we all can share.
We pray that the family we find peace in times like these.
May God bless you and keep you all.....
