You were always my Uncle Gillie when we lived in Libya in the early sixties, when you worked with my Dad, Eric Finnigan. I was so honoured to be at your funeral to say goodbye. He was my Uncle's [the late Fred Hendry] best friend. I have many happy childhood memories of going out with them on their various boats! Such a character, he will be missed.
