Not sure what to say?

I was out of the country at the time of Leonard's passing. I'm regret having missed the funeral. Leonard and Kathryn were friends and neighbors for many years. Both were exceptional individuals and will be missed.

After meeting President and Sister Romney in the MTC, our group was excited to learn they would be over our mission. President Romney was sincere in his love for the missionaries and the people of Russia.
Several years after returning home, we had a lot personal conversations that I will never forget. He helped me out during some troublesome times. President Romney was a heart-filled man. It was an honor to know him, and I'll miss him greatly.

Being with and learning from President and Sister Romney was one of the best parts of Russia. I met them in the MTC before we all left for the mission a few weeks later. I'll miss him dearly and pray his family is comforted while they won't be able to be with these two wonderful people for a time.

It's impossible to overstate how impactful President and Sister Romney were in my life as a young missionary. Exemplary Christ-like people who were such a joy to be around. My condolences to his family and close friends.

I am very saddened by Leonard's passing. I first met him 27 years ago when coming to the University of Utah as Dean of Architecture. He was Assistant Vice President of Administrative Services and did a terrific job.

But more importantly, about 10 years ago, my late wife Beverly and I developed a friendship with Leonard and Katherine due to both our wives having Alzheimer's disease. We were in support groups together, shared breakfasts regularly and were involved with the Alzheimer's...

One of my first companions in the West German Mission. We served together in Frankfurt and lived under the roof of an apartment building. Great memories. Good wishes to his family. He was a devoted servant. Harvey Hatch

I grew up in Salt Lake, the Douglas Ward and East High with this Great Guy We All Loved! He was a friend to everyone and accomplished a great deal in his lifetime. Glad I was able to see him and his Sweet wife at our East High Reunions over the years. Prayers to His Outstanding Family.
Sincerely, Janet Judd Powell

I'm so sorry to read of Leonard's passing. He was a dear friend from high school days. I enjoyed going dancing with him several times in recent years. He made many senior women happy when he would go to various senior centers and dance with all of them. He was a great dancer! I saw him last at the East High A'capella Christmas Party in December. He seemed fine healthwise at that time. I'm glad he is once again with his dear Kathryn! He was lonely and missed her very much!
