Not sure what to say?

Leslie, Ali and Teddy:

I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of Lenny’s passing. Lenny was such a great friend and mentor to me and I will miss him dearly. He was truly the best.

Vonne and I are so sorry for your loss and send our sincerest condolences.

Chris Whittleton

Dear Leslie: Cathy and I just learned that Lenny had passed away. We extend you our sincere condolences. I saw him only occasionally through the years, but in memorable contexts. He did a great job in hosting Penn events and raising funds for our alma mater. But I was most impressed which I joked with him about at how he used to carry the torah up into the balcony at Washington Hebrew during the High Holy Days. It was symbolic of his going the extra mile no matter what he undertook. ...

Lenny and Leslie were some of the first folks we met when moving to the D.C. area from Philadelphia, introduced by fellow Penn classmates Elliot and Helen Siegal. Lenny welcomed everyone with his vibrant personality and joy for life. He was unchanged over the years; his warmth and enthusiasm were appreciated by everyone he met. It is hard to imagine him gone from his many friends and associates. We will miss him, and send our condolences to Leslie, Ali and Teddy.

LEN WAS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH, A REAL GENTLEMAN. HE WOULD NOT JUST CRITICIZE, BUT WAS HAPPY TO PRAISE A JOB WELL DONE. I WILL MISS OUR CHATS ABOUT THE REAL ESTATE MKT.

Dear Leslie: On behalf of his high school classmates and many close friends at Peddie, I want to express how saddened we are to learn of Lenny's passing. We had so hoped that he would be able to join us for our 50th reunion this past June. He was very much missed at that event, and we will always remember him with great fondness and happy memories of our time together. Please let us know if there is any way we can be of help to you and your family in this difficult time. Sincerely, Dick Joslin

I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Shapiro in my capacity as counsel for New Hampshire Business Center. He was as kind, honest and down to earth a person as any client I have ever had the privilege of working for. He will be deeply missed.

Lenny was a great person to work for and the Staff at New Hampshire Business Center will greatly miss his visits to the building.
Leslie Holmes

All the staff at New Hampshire Business Center was saddened by Lenny's passing.
He was a man of his word and will be greatly missed.

Leslie & Family, My deepest condolences. As you know, Lenny & I grew up together in Bridgeton & I had a lot of contact with him at Penn and Georgetown...and when he met you & worked for the "Redskins Guy." He was a favorite and respected friend and will be missed. I'm living in Ashburn, VA now, but not supposed to be back there until the weekend. Will still try to get back earlier for Thursday if I can. Every one of the old Bridgeton group is thinking of you.
