Leonard was born on September 30, 1931 and passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018. Leonard Victor, 2 days shy of his 87th birthday, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on September 28, 2018. Lenny was born in Bronx, NY on September 30, 1931. Survived by his loving wife, Rose Victor, of 62 years, son Joel Victor and daughters Barbara Victor and Paula (Rodger) Griffin. Lenny was the son of Fred and Pearl Victor. He graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School, Bronx, NY. Shortly after, he enlisted with the Marines and fought in the Korean War as a machine gunner. Upon his return, he enrolled in NYU, where he met his wife while playing ping pong. Lenny graduated NYU with a degree in Education and accepted a 7th grade Social Studies teaching position with Monticello Central School District, where he taught for 34 years. Not only did Lenny devote his life and love to his wife and family, but also to his communities. In Monticello, he was a volunteer EMT for over 20 years, Councilman, Deputy Mayor and Trustee on the town board. After retiring, he and his wife, Rose, moved to Delray Beach, FL in 1996, where they led a very active life with many friends traveling the world, going to shows, dining, sharing many stories and tons of laughs. Lenny had a way of making everyone feel comfortable, always putting a smile on their face. Lenny was laid to rest at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach, Fl on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018. The family will be sitting Shiva Wed.-Thur. 1:00-8:00 at their residence. Donations can be made in his name to the charity of one's choice, Trustbridge Hospice Foundation in Boca Raton, or American Cancer Society

Mr. Victor a true gentleman and sport man. DeWitt Clinton in the Bronx all boys school. It was famous for basketball my brother Warren went there. I truly wish that one day all of us maybe together again. Back in Monticello where things where great growing up. I miss that alot. But for now see you all later.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Victor's passing. I just mentioned his name recently. I had him for social studies in 7th grade in Monticello. He was one of my favorite teachers. I will always remember him fondly. May he RIP. Sincere condolences to the family.
