Not sure what to say?

Leanne and John,

I will always have fond and vivid memories of your dad sitting on the front porch with his cup of coffee watching the moms trickle back home after dropping their kids off at McKenzie. He always had a ready smile and a kind word and we would often chat and laugh.

There is another memory of Leo in the yard with those garden clippers, just clipping away at almost anything green to "clean up".

He was a giant man with a giant heart and a big smile for...

Dear Leanne...Sorry we can not be with you on Saturday..Your Father was an old Friend in Lincolnwood , and we talked many times at St. Francis Xavier a few years ago.We will rember him in our prayers...Mary Fran & Charlie O'Brien

May we extend our deepest condolences to all the members of Leo's family; you've sustained a terrible loss. Please accept our apology, due to a prior commitment we are not able to participate in honoring of Leo's life and mourning his death, as he deserves both. He was a good man, fun and friendly, and will be heartfully missed.
May God bless him and all of you.
Mickey and Sue Pontarelli

We had a six year friendship with the Vitales while renting in their building on Niles Center Rd. from 1956-62.
This continued when we moved to Gross Pointe Rd. a half block away from the Austin Liquor Store that Leo managed.
Leo was a kind, gentle man loved by all with whom he came in contact.
Walter and Leanne plese accept our condolences for your loss.

Leanne, John, Johnny and Annie,
We offer our sympathy to you and your family. We have such fond memories of the times the children spent with Leanne's Dad in the Trinity days - he was always ready with a laugh and a treat for the kids after a tough day of preschool! His unfailing good humor and kindness were his hallmark. You are in our prayers,
The Hrabe Family

I met Leo and Sophie in the 1970s.
They owned the chain of stores called Famous Liquors.
I also know Wally and Florence. Leo offered to help out several times when my mother, Eunice, was in her final days. He and his family were very close friends of my Aunt and Uncle, Dollie and Homer. His loved ones have my heart-felt condolences.
