Leonard M. Watt, 90, of Westfield, died on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. The Funeral will be on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 10:30am from the Rossi Funeral Home, 1937 Westfield Ave. Scotch Plains, NJ. A Funeral Service will be offered at the funeral home at 11am. The Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery. The Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the funeral home from 6-9pm.
Leonard was born, raised, and lived in Newark, NJ. He then settled to Westfield in 1957. Leonard was part of the "Greatest Generation" and served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Most of his life Leonard was a truck driver; working for Ketchum Industries. He also was the owner and operator of an Arco Gas Station & Mechanic Shop in Westfield. Leonard was a member of the American Legion Post 209, Scotch Plains and the Elks Club of Warren Lodge #885.
Leonard is predeceased by his wife Anne '14. He is survived by two sons William "Billy" and John; his four daughters Sheila Townsend, Barbara Watt, Kim Palmer, and Donna Sisk; his 10 grandchildren; his 9 great-grandchildren; and his two great-great grandsons.
Contributions and donations can be made in Leonard's memory to the American Legion or the Dementia Society of America.

Oh the good times and happy memories we are all left with! Now you are with Aunt Ann, my Dad, Uncle Tom, Grannie and your brother. A good time will be had by all when you arrive! You will be missed and are well loved by your family and friends. Thanks for the hospitality, the jokes and the warm welcome I felt each time Stan and I visited.
