Not sure what to say?

Leonard was the very best of Sands Point. He often introduced me as the founder of The Village Club of Sands Point but I can say with absolute certainty and knowledge that Leonard Wurzel was the founder, inspiration and leader of our Village Club, as he was for our entire village for 23 years. There wasn't a single resident during his long and successful mayoralty who doesn't fondly remember of Leonard's almost daily driving around the Village roads in his fudgemobile Lincoln to make sure...

DEAR ELAINE, MARK AND FAMILY AND LARRY AND FAMILY,
IT WAS WITH HEARTFELT SORROW THAT I LEARNED ABOUT THE OUTSTANDING FATHER OF MY FIFTH GRADE STUDENT.MARK. MARK AND LARRY WERE BLESSED WITH FANTASTIC PARENTS,AND I CLEARLY REMEMBER LEONARD'S SMILING, JOVIAL FACE.I STILL HAVE THE RECIPE BOX ELAINE COPIED BY HAND FOR ME WHEN I BECAME ENGAGED MORE THAN 50 YEARS AGO!
MAY GOD GRANT YOU ALL PEACE AND SERENITY IN YOUR LOSS.

He was truly a great person to talk to, many interesting stories. I enjoyed having lunch with him at La Piccola Liquria Resaurant. Hewill be missed.

A true gentleman. My visits to the Village Hall were special when Mayor Wurzel and I chatted. Doreen and I will miss him and extend our condolences to Elaine and his entire family.

To Elaine, Mark & Ellen, Larry & Elaine and all the others that knew Leonard: What finer tribute to a great man can there be than to say he meant so much to so many people. Our family has many, many, memories of his smiling face always asking about how we were doing (particularily at Camp Airy on those wonderful Labor Day Weekends). He will be very much missed. Love, Jon & Nancy Chernak

We send our sincerest condolences to Leonard's family. We are grateful for all the hard work Leonard put in to make our community so wonderful.

Our family has lost a treasured friend, one of the last links to our own dad, a boyhood friend of Leonard in West Philadelphia in the '20s. Dad always thought of Leonard as a surrogate big brother, and had many fond memories and funny stories about their youth. We miss you, Leonard.
