While driving in the rain I looked for the dove. I could not see her, it made me sad. But, I looked again and I saw her piercing eyes shining through the clouds on a ray of sunshine. I saw her smile in a cherry blossom tree that was illuminated on an April day. I heard her infectious laugh in all the birds that sang. I realized at that moment she is in all things. The dove gave me a reason to look, and listen.

In loving memory of Laurie. My thoughts are with the James and...

Laurie was one of the greatest people I ever had the good fortune to know. She gave so much of herself to this life and inspired everyone around her.It is difficult to imagine her loved ones on this earth without her.

Laurie was such a joy to be around; some of my earliest childhood memories were of her goofy laugh and how she would always tease my sister and I in an absolutely loving and warm way...we just loved being around her. She lit up a room and the people in it!! Her memory will always make me smile...

I came to know Laurie through my work at Marylhurst University. We shared much in common and enjoyed schmoozing whenever we could fit it in. Later, after she retired, we met for lunch about once a month. Our last luncheon was two months before she died. I can't believe we will never meet over a lunch table again, but I will always remember our talks about books, movies, politics, and the tragicomedy of life. She could make me laugh like none other. I loved her dearly and send my heartfelt...

I had the great good luck to work with Laurie at Marylhurst University for 18 years. She
was a bright, creative, kind and interesting woman who added goodwill to each day. Faculty and students were all very fond of her and we missed her when she retired 2 years ago.
My sympathy to the family in this time of loss.

I never got the chance to get to know aunt laurie as well as I would have liked but the few memories I have are fond and full of laughter. I can only think of myself being a child, sister, niece, cousin and friend and feeling great loss for her children, my grandmother, my mother, my aunts and uncles and all the many who knew and loved her. Let your spirit fill those you left behind and ignite a fire of inspiration creativity acceptance and love. Much love to all

Our precious Aunt Laurie, we will miss her much, her always fun and loving nature was a joy to be around. Her sense of humor could find the humor when you thought there would be none..
