Not sure what to say?

What a wonderful, amazing man - I loved studying his work in graduate school in the early 70s at Hunter College in NYC. My sincere condolences. He´s a true inspiration.

Last night, for no apparent reason, I was moved to read parts of "The Kapauku Papuans" to my 8 year old grandson, cherishing my old days as a graduate student in Cultural Anthropology at Hunter College in NYC in l971. My graduate thesis was about the political opportunities presented by Melanesian cargo cults. My sinere condolences; what a great great life he had.

Zdenka and Mira--Very sad to hear of Leo's passing. Kathleen and I send our condolences. Leo, with unbounded energy, stood up for and fought for many good things. Deepest sympathies to the Pospisil Family on the passing of Professor Pospisil. I was a UPS delivery driver in East Rock for over 20 years. (Retired now) I always had great respect for the Professor, as he always treated me with the utmost respect as I was a blue collar worker. May he rest in peace.

Dear Zdenka, I am so sorry for your lose. Reading of his life's journey was a remarkable story and I wish I had met him! The memories of our trip to Obernberg am Brenner are still fresh in my mind. His book rests on my book shelf along with the pictures I took while we were there. May you find comfort in your family and the memory of a fascinating man. Mickey Ford
