LeRoy and Madonna "Donna" Halbur

Donna was my aunt (Paul Kearney, my father and her brother. Her twin brother Daniel, my uncle). She and Leroy were truly special people! We lived only 2 miles from them; directly across Hwy 101. I will always regret that we didn't know they needed help that night; we could have been there in minutes and would have! Donna was very ill and Leroy did everything he could to save her; he was so devoted! They had a special bond that will last forever.

For more than 30 years Leroy and I worked together at Codding Enterprises, having lunch together with several others from the office almost every day. Leroy was brilliant, understated, but witty and perceptive. He was a genuinely good person, and devoted to Donna. They are missed.

I use to work with Leroy at Codding Enterprises. He was a really nice person. My mom and I were very sad hear that Leroy and Donna had died in the fires.

Dear Tim and Dave,
My heart is heavy and sad for the loss of your beloved parents, Donna and Leroy. But their lights shine upon us from their place in heaven. God blessed us with their presence here on earth. Peace be with you, Tim and Dave.

Wonderful, caring neighbors. Constantly looking out after our sheep and calling me if anything amiss. LeRoy had a beautiful big garden and shared the produce generously. Melissa and I will miss our dear neighbors.

Sincere sympathy to the family. I knew Donna when I was a child. Donna was a sister -in-law to my cousin Betty Kearney ( William "Bill" Kearney) and aunt to my dear cousins Janet and David (Ronnie). Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We knew your parents for 30 years and played pinochle with them every month for 20 years. Such great people!
