Leroy Hester
Leroy Hester, 61, of Charlottesville, Virginia departed this life on Thursday, March 11, 2010.
He was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, the son of the late Charles and Gladys Hansbury.
His wife, Thomasine Hester; and a son, Kevin Hester preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by a brother, Charles E. Hester; and a sister, Deloris A. Hester.
He was employed as a Machinist for Lexis Nexis for a number of years. He received his formal education in the Charlottesville public schools and attended Mt. Zion First African Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Carl Hester and his wife, LaMara, and Leroy Hester Jr.; one brother, Robert Hester and his wife, Madeline; a sister, Mary P. Hester; eight grandchildren; a devotional extended family, the Fortunes and Fords; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Mt. Zion First African Baptist Church with Dr. Alvin Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Thessalonia Church Cemetery, Fluvanna County, Virginia.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Thursday, March 18, 2010, at the church.

Leroy and my late husband were really good friends,as well as myself.I remember alot of shenanigans between us at michie.He was one of a kind.I hope your memories will comfort you in this time of grief.All my love to the family.Leroy will always be in my thoughts. God Bless. Jennifer Varner
