My heartfelt sympathy to the Stover family. I, Cynthia J. O'Neal, can relate to the hardships Mr. Leroy Stover endured during his tenure on the FORCE. September, 1966, I was hired as the first black OFFICE WORKER (secretary) at Birmingham Transit. I had the opportunity of knowing his brother, who was hired as one of the first black bus drivers, during that time. Even though it was "living hell" during my time at Birmingham Transit, I paved the way for OTHERS. Thank you Mr. Leroy Stover...
