Not sure what to say?

Barney was an original. He always put others before himself. He helped more people than anyone else, whether he knew them or not. He lost his dad when he was an adolescent and so he took on that role for his younger siblings. He never asked for any favors from anyone, yet he managed to become very successful...an unusual trait for a humble soul. I miss him. True heroes are in short supply. Thanks for teaching me, and everyone else, how to be thoughtful and responsible. Victor

Allen Rencurrel and Mike Costa of Nantucket Sound Seafood would like to extend are continued condolences to all family and friends of Barney Truex we had great respect and admiration for Barney he was a great guy and well respected in the seafood industry. He is and will be missed for a very long time. Respectfully Nantucket Sound Seafood Captain Al's Finest

It's difficult to say goodbye to Barney. I've never known anyone quite like him. Honestly, I never ever heard him speak ill of anyone. He would bend-over backwards to help a friend, as well as help folks that he hardly even knew. He took over being the patriarch of his extended family immediately after his father died even though he was very young. He worked endlessly and still somehow found time to spend with his family and acquaintances. He mentored his immediate family, mother, brothers,...

Condolences to the family Barney was a great guy and will surely be missed, I worked at Blount and Seawatch and have worked in the industry since 1981 he was a leader in the Seafood Industry. And we will all miss him

Dolores and family, I am just your neighbor for the last 25 years, (154) and want to offer our sympathy and prayers. As we grow older, every passing leaves a hole and in this case it seems to be hole in the entire community. My sons went to Southern with some of you children before we became neighbors and I know how important family ties are to all of us. Again God Bless you.

I am so very sorry for the loss of the patriarch of the family. Sending love and prayers your all in my heart
