Not sure what to say?

I was one of his residents at Providence hospital. We often heard him and Mary speak at firesides telling stories of Joseph Smiths' operation. I did several cases with him and for some reason he often gave me major responsibilities during these cases. He also served as chaperone on the ship that carried him along with my aunt Anne Jenson across the ocean to Europe on their missions. He was a marvelous man, and I am grateful for the skills that he taught me.

We respect and love your family dearly and are so sorry to hear of Dr. Wirthlin,`s passing. What an inspiration he and Mary have been to us in all the years we´ve known them. Our son severed his brachial artery as a child and doctor Wirthlin put it back together beautifully. That son is now a surgeon also. We are so grateful for Dr. Wirthlin´s expertise. May you feel peace and only sweet memories as you await your time to join him. Jan and John Clayton

I am so very sorry to have heard of the passing of your beloved Leroy Wirthlin. I have fond memories of working in his office as one of his secretaries. I was also one of the Christmas card stuffers for several years. I have kept all of the Christmas cards I have ever gotten from them. What a beautiful family & what a reunion that will someday be. I love the Wirthlin family even those I´ve never met.

Mary with great respect and admiration to all who are left may your hearts be filled with fond memories and more love for one another of a great father who lead the way. Blessings on each and everyone. John Romish

Having scrubbed with Roy many times I remember his technical skill but more impressive were his post op drawings of the procedure he kept for the patient´s chart. Roy´s skill and dedication to "doing it right the first time" will be missed by me. William Gross MD

I cut his- hair funny and always had a good story and a joke. He was happy that was able to buy this house that he really wanted. funny guy. Loved his kids and grandkids. He told me well my wife wanted two things a big house and lots of kids. The story of the insurance man and one of the kids hit his car. The one baby was put in the draw for a crib....funny man. Maxine Shoell

We were so sorry to hear of Dr. Wirthlin's passing! He was surely a well-respected man, and together with Mary reared an amazing family. We were blessed to have known them and surely have fond memories of when our children were in school together. Prayers and warm hugs for the family! The Kimberlys
