LeRoy Ziegler, 83, of Sherwood, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 21, 2006. He was a flying tiger with the 11th bomb squadron during World War II, a Flight Line Chief and the Officer and NCO club manager at his retirement from Little Rock Air Force Base.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Vivian Wiley Ziegler of Sherwood; two daughters, Brenda Stonehouse and husband, David of McKinney, Texas; Bobbie Patterson and husband, Darren of Longview, Texas; one son, Jack LeRoy Ziegler and wife, Becky of Maumelle; grandchildren: Becky North, Bonnie Rios, Brad North, Zack Ziegler, Steve Martel, Dusty Martel; great-grandchildren, Andrew Ziegler, Gracyn Ziegler, Sisters: Hazel Morris and Allene Scherm both of Stuttgart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack & Bessie Ziegler.

Graveside Services were held at 1:00 PM Tuesday At Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements made by North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.northlittlerockfuneralhome.com.

At first I was saddened to know that my Papa passed away, but then I realized that I was so grateful to have an angel in heaven on my side. I love you, Papa! We will miss you so very much.
