Drew was a great friend to me as one of my YM leaders ay the Ensign 3rd Ward. He had a huge influence on me and was there for me on numerous occasions. There are few people I admired more than him. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing and I wish his family well.

My prayers and thoughts are with the beautiful Goates family at this difficult time! I have many fond memories of times spent with Drew and his family at dinners in his home and outings with the entire family. Drew was a kind and gracious man…a true Child of God and loving soul.
May he be free of his earthly struggles and find comfort in the arms of his beautiful mother, Helen, and his 2 children that passed on before him. My love and compassion go out to the entire Goates family...

Drew was a part of many of my best memories of Bryant Jr. and East High. He was always a joy to spend time with. Sincere love and wishes to his family and friends at his passing.
