Mr. Clifford was my teacher for freshman year honors geometry in 2013 at Miss Hall's -- I was going through a difficult time & wasn't able to fully appreciate his class as the incredible experience it was, but I still remember him as the best math teacher I ever had. I actually have an academic warning letter he sent home hanging on my fridge right now! Our daughter had the good fortune to experience Les and his enthusiasm for teaching at both BCD and MHS. When our grand was struggling with math in the 8th grade, we were thrilled he was now tutoring. Within 6 months, she was won the math award for her class . . . we stood in awe and called it the Les Clifford Effect. A wonderful man and teacher who really connected with students, we have all lost a good one. Deepest condolences to Liz and Catherine.
