Not sure what to say?

To my friend and mentor Mr Edwards was truly a walking history book. What I have learned from Les will last forever! May God listen to you Les, he made a great person in you, Tsgt Samuel L Finley USAF retired!

Mr. Edwards was loved by all who knew him. He was an extraordinary and dynamic public speaker on matters and history dealing with the Tuskegee Airmen. He lived the Tuskegee Airman experience and felt compelled to talk about it due to the historical impact the Tuskegee Airmen made in WWII history and service. Mr. Edwards served during that great generation who saved the world from fascism and extremism. He also was an activist in the local community post military service and was a staunch...

Mr. Edwards has always been someone I looked up to. I was very proud of him, especially when I learned of his military background. In later years I was equally proud oh him when I ran into him working out at the YMCA. May he rest in peace and his legacy live on. Proud Lincoln Heights Resident & Admirer.

Mr. Edwards evidently had to be a very extraordinary gentleman. He had a lot to pass on to others and did. He probably had many interesting stories. I offer the family my condolences. May God comfort you at this time.

Praying God's comfort on Mr Edwards family. A great man who gave so much to his country. He served his country well for freedom despite those freedoms being denied to his as a Black man during segregation. I will always remember his kind words, his smooth dance moves and his passion for life! God Bless!

You were so important in this life, a true hero. Thank you for your service.

I know God walked that last mile with you, just like I know he was with you all of your life. I didn't get to see you much when we lived in the Valley Homes, because you were always working. But I was always glad that we became neighbors, and that Imogene and I became friends. It will remain a special memory that you and I reconnected after so many years. You were a wonderful man.
