Coach Longshore was a true gentleman. He was my tennis mentor & coach at Samford. His kindness and wisdom will never be forgotten. I pray for his dear family.

I knew Les best as an avid runner. My running goal has always been that, like Les, I would still be running at the age of 80 and enjoying it half as much. He was a true friend to the running community and will be missed.

Dear Family of Les,

Les was a fine fellow and runner. It was a privilege to know him.

Since my Mother's passing I have come to realize much more clearly that the reality of Heaven is just as much a matter of our basic Christian faith as our belief in the existence of God and Christ.

If we say we believe in Christ, we must believe that what He has told us is true about life after death in Heaven for all true believers.
