Not sure what to say?

My dear Leslie

Albany, New York has not been the same since you left town. Your real passion was helping the animals and finding forever homes for them.

It was a joy to work for you and with you.

Your friend
Pam Murphy

Barry and family.......though I didn't know your sister well while we were all in high school, it certainly sounds as though she lived her life in a way which had so many positive impacts on so many people ( and animals!) My condolences on your terrible loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Lisa Moore

Leslie, you achieved so much in your young life. Your activism on behalf of creatures who cannot protect themselves will live on as you are immortalized in their spirits. Your love and caring for them will inspire others to follow in your footsteps. One cannot hope for a greater legacy than this.

Leslie, our sincere condolences. remember the great times at RPB country club and our lunches and the pool. THE whole Stephens family wishes you well on your next life.

Leslie influenced many here in the Triangle to dive in and help with animal rescue. With Leslie's vision and compassion there was no second guessing about anything. I was very worried when she told me she was moving back to Florida. I asked who would help our local animals? There was nothing to worry about as she had really gotten things rolling. No turning back. Thank you Leslie.

Sweet Leslie...how sad to hear you have left us so early. I have some fun memories from high school and from the get together we had at Stacy's. RIP sweet friend. Mr. Mann, Barry and David I am so sorry for your loss and thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Leslie, I never met you in person but you were my soul sister. I was connected to you through the animals you helped. We were both single women helping the forgotten and neglected.
I know your brother Barry. You were a hero. I will not forget you. I miss you!

Leslie was one of the most beautiful Ladies inside and out that I have ever known. She was a mentor and best friend to me. I will miss her random calls to just listen to my Southern accent and make friendly fun of me. She always saw the positive in every situation. She was truly a GREAT loving kind generous person. You will be missed my Dear Leslie Lou as I liked to call you. Much love and condolences to her family.

Words cannot begin to say how much you will be missed my friend, you had such a big heart for all especially for all you beloved animals. How will they get along without you and our girl Penelope I haven't see her since you were called home I hope you will still watch over her from Heaven She will always Love,Miss and Need you. Till I she you again. Love Jonette
