Leslie U. Oakley

Leslie U. Oakley, 45, of Matamoras, PA went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Born in Nuernberg, Germany. Mrs. Oakley came to the United States in 1964. She resided in the Bronx and Otisville, NY prior to moving to Matamoras, PA. She graduated from Minisink High School and Albany Business College. Mrs. Oakley was employed by First Pioneer Farm Credit in Middletown, NY as a Farm Business Advisor. Mrs. Oakley was a member of the Milford Bible Church and a group leader of Moms in Touch. Mrs. Oakley is survived by her father, Matthew Connolly of Labelle, FL; her mother, Astrid Connolly, (Marschall) of Matamoras; her husband, Brian, and their three children, Thomas, Amanda, and Timothy all at home; a stepdaughter, Brianna Oakley, of Wantage; a sister, Ann-Margret Stewart of Ottisville, NY; and her mother in law, Judy Oakley, of Wantage. Mrs. Oakley is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Sunday, December 6, at 1 p.m. at Milford Bible Church, 110 Foxcroft Dr., Milford, PA. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday, December 5, 6-8 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main Street, Branchville, NJ.
