Not sure what to say?

Even seven years ago it was difficult to summarize all we wanted to say about Les, our "second cousin" through the Roe heritage. We were blessed to have Les, Pat and family as close friends back to 1952, when we moved to Lakeland. His passionate, humble but vibrant and influential life was far more amazing than we even realized at the time. He (and Pat) touched so many lives in so many ways over the years that it is almost incalculable. Most of all, but maybe not said enough, he honored the...

Tom, Janet and extended family -
What a life and celebration last Monday. To have known your family for 60 years through the "Roe" side has been unique. My fondest memories: those New Years Day gatherings in the 1950's when Tom and Janet and myself were all grades school age. Then, staying in Fletching village, England at Les & Pat's rented "gate-tower" in 1974...it fit them so well! My biggest regret, after reading so much about Les (and Pat) is simply not being around them more often...

Tom and Jeri - - Your Dad's obituary was beautifully done - - no one that knows you and knew your Dad could have expected less. It has always been an honor to know the great man and to have enjoyed his company just a few weeks ago. I will always remember him enjoying and remarking on the Dungeness Crab Bisque (with just a splash of Sherry) My love to you and Jeri. Andy

Dear Tom,
Les was such a remarkable example for all, filled with energy & enthusiasm for every day all the way to his very last breath. His wisdom and wit were unparalleled & never to be outdone by the younger generation. It was a privledge to have known him. Peace & Love, Leslie

Tom
I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was such an incredible gentleman. I am glad I was able to see him on Christmas. What a legacy he left you and your family. Please know you and your family are in my prayers.

Dear Tom,
Steve and I have missed seeing your dad driving the golf cart with his companion by his side, but it will remain a charming and very pleasant memory for me.
Your dad was truly an inspiration and his lovely obituary is a testament to that and to a life well lived.
You should be humbly proud, for you, your dad, and your family have been greatly blessed.
May the Lord keep you in his loving care and give you comfort.

Sincerely,
Debbie Sowards

Hi Tom,
I had met your Dad just a few times at gatherings at the Young house. He seemed so dignified and courtly. He clearly enjoyed a wonderful life, and that he had you to see him through to the end was a wonderful gift for him. And you. You have very special memories to treasure. I'm sending best thoughts and wishes to you.

Dear Tom,

What a wonderful obituary.
Your Dad was such a wonderful man, and special Uncle to all the Roe children.
Jack and I send our condolences to you and Janet.
