Piotrowski, Leslie Sue McConnaughy It is with great sadness that our family shares the passing of our beloved sister and mother of two, Leslie Sue McConnaughy Piotrowski, age 57, October 3rd, 2010. Leslie was a dynamic, charming and fiercely patriotic person who, with honor, served her...

Not sure what to say?

Recently, I (and a good patch of the McConnaughy clan) attended the celebration of your youngest's marriage. I saw your eldest's burgeoning artistry taking form. "Uncle Lester" you'd be so proud of both of them. They are so very different but I see you in both of them. I can't believe you've been gone for 13 years. It seems like yesterday we were laughing together. I miss you.

I miss that smile and the sound of her laughter. You are sorely missed my sweet Navy Sister. ❤

You would be 65 this week my friend. Miss you every day. You worked for my freedom and can't tell you enough how much I appreciate mine. I hear you laughter in my mind and remember the days we spent over so many years. Be at peace. You are so loved.

To Les' Family and Friends. Having had the opportunity to read all the wonderfully reflective comments and memories of Les, it seems that someone who was so much a part of so many is never really gone. May God Bless you all and give your hearts peace, comfort, and rapid healing from this loss.

To the friends, family and loved ones of Leslie, I had the distinct pleasure
of serving with Senior Chief Piotrowski in Adak, AK as a young First Class
Petty Officer. Had it not been for her guidance, leadership and council, I
would not be where I am today. Rest easy Shipmate, the Navy and the world
are a better and safer place because of you and those you trained. I pray
your family and friends find joy and comfort in a lifetime of memories you
created.

Fair Winds and God Speed my Friend. Our country and our Navy have been truly blessed with your service. Rest in peace Leslie; you stand relieved. My thoughts and prayers are with each family member. Richard and Michael: you truly have a Guardian Angel watching over you.

Leslie was truly a great person. Happy, upbeat, cheerful, and contagious. She will be greatly missed by all. Fair winds, and following seas. We will keep you and your family in our prayers. God Bless

Dear "Uncle Lester" I miss you so much it hurts. I was holding my sides laughing remembering sitting on the floor of the kitchen on Jacaranda Street while you, mom, and I watched a 3 year old Michelle clomp around the kitchen in your wood sole sandals and when she lifted her dress & tucked it under her chin to look at your shoes clip clop on the floor she had on no undies. I thought we would all die laughing. I'll always remember you laughing that day. All my love, Marianne

Fair winds shipmate!
