Leslie Joan Rinderer lost her long brave battle with MDS and leukemia on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013.
She was born in Elizabeth, N.J. On June 16, 1943 and was raised in Roselle, N.J. She graduated from Abraham Clarke HS in 1961. She led an interesting life, working as a reservation agent at Delta Airlines for many years, then later at Holland America and American Express' travel department. She then worked for Bank of America. During her life she lived in NJ, Atlanta Georgia, and then moved to Bellevue WA in 1988 with her parents Joseph and Ruth Rinderer. She later moved to Stanwood WA.
Leslie had a big heart and was very generous with her time as a volunteer. She volunteered at Stanwood Elementary School for several years, then she was a tireless volunteer at the NOAH animal shelter where she assisted in the spay and neuter clinic and fostered young kittens who needed extra care. She was very passionate about helping animals in need. Her favorite hobby was crocheting, and she donated many afghans to various charities, as well as friends and relatives. She was a member of Trinity Anglican Church in Redmond, WA, where she also held some positions of responsibility.
Leslie leaves many loving family members and friends, including her daughter Jennifer and son in law Ed, grandsons Eddie and Kyle, her brother Paul and nephews John, Adam, and niece Tracy, and grand nephews Michael, Waylen, and Austin, grandnieces Dakota, Ashlyn, Charlotte and Savannah, her cousins Cindy, Dean, Lynn and John, Justin, Elizabeth,Greg, Carleigh and Jeff.,and Uncle John. She leaves loving friends all over the country, including Eileen, Cheryl, Oscar, Carol, Eugenia, Donna, Roger, Jennifer, and all of her friends at NOAH.
