Rist, Leslie A. Cook 68 Jan. 23, 1944 Oct. 14, 2012 Strong and graceful to the very end, Leslie took Jesus' hand and danced her way into heaven Sunday morning. Her final days and hours found her closely surrounded by loving family and friends. Leslie was born in Los Angeles to Harry and June...

Not sure what to say?

Thinking of you today Leslie. Remembering your sweet smile and kind demeanor. My dad passed away last month. I hope you are together in heaven.

I was just updating my phone contacts and came across Leslie's Gladstone info still in my phone more than 8 years after her death. I grew up in Gladstone and met Leslie at Dr Griffith's office where I was a patient from ages 1? 2? until I left Oregon in 1993. Leslie was a dear friend of our family and was adored by all who knew her. My father and Leslie became good friends after I became an adult and years after her death my father moved back to Gladstone. How fun it would have been for...

I met Leslie in the 6th grade. She was more like a sister than just a friend. I knew her Mother June, and Father Harry, and grandmother Bassett, and of course, the twins, Candy and Timmy. We used to visit her grandmother at the beach in summer. I miss her dearly, although there were many years that we did not see each other since she lived in Oregon, and I lived in Texas and D.C., and Oklahoma. I still cannot believe she is gone. She died too early

You are Home.

Although it has been a little while since I was part of the family she was always like a mom to me. We had our disagreements but when there were things she needed done (usually putting up all her Santas at Christmas)I was more than happy to help. I am sorry to see she is gone. I just wish I had gotten to tell her thank you so much for all she did.
Miss you Leslie.

Aunt Leslie, I love you so much. I still cant believe you are gone. My favorite memory is from way back in 1986 when mom and Fred left me at your house while they went to Canada. I had the best week staying with you. You and Uncle Chuck were so much fun. I didnt want to leave. While I am sad you are no longer with us, I am happy that you are with Uncle Chuck again. You ARE missed by all who knew you.

Leslie always greeted me with a smile when I went to Barichello Family Denistry. She would tell me about her trips to Hawaii and how she enjoyed her family and friends. I'm so sad that her dream of retirement fun was cut short...on earth. Now she is pain free and worry free in a far better place, as was promised her. She had a deep faith in Christ's gift to us. We'll all miss her but not forget her!

Cindy, Josh, and Sarah,
I know you had a wonderful celebration of Leslie's life today at the church in Damascus. We hope that your many memories and the love of family and friends will help you though this difficult time.
With love,
Kris and Roy Beal

I knew Leslie from working at the dentist office in Gladstone, and as an editor at the CHS newspaper with Randy. She was a funny, loving, wonderful woman. I know she will be missed, and celebrated by the many people she touched. Mary McGregor Ace
