Not sure what to say?

Sunday, June 5 2022, I delivered the concluding eulogy for my beloved wife, Leslie Sowle. Below is the link for those unable to join us. https://www.dropbox.com/s/zp2n7g8jx35luln/1_Leslie_Eulogy.m4a?dl=0

I have only recently learned of Leslie's passing. I am so saddened to hear that she is gone but happy that she suffers no more. She was an amazing neighbor of mine on Drexel Ave. I loved talking with her about wine, dogs, and politics. She often sat for my dog Ash. She had the most beautiful and giving spirit, will be sorely missed and beautifully remembered.

I worked with Leslie over a number of years while we were both at Accenture. She brought such a great mix of legal expertise along with a business and client view to her work. I thoroughly enjoyed the contracts we worked on together. My condolences to her surviving family and current colleagues. She will be missed.

Leslie and I shared an appreciation for fat difficult novels, but one enduring memory is of seeing the Decemberists with the Grant Park Festival Orchestra at Chicago's Pritzker Pavilion in 2007 with Leslie and her family. That we were somehow sheltered from the pouring rain in our 14th-row seats up towards the stage made the music all the more magical. May Leslie`s memory be for blessing.

Leslie had a moral compass that never wavered. She was intellectual brilliance, with a warm and generous heart. Plus a sharp, irreverent sense of humor.

I was always impressed with Leslie's compassion, sense of adventure and her intellectual curiosity. She will be sorely missed.

I worked with Leslie for the past 5+ years at Workday, and can say she was an amazing, caring, and thoughtful workmate. She will be greatly missed at work as well as her personal life. Prayers are with her family and friends!

Peace Corps Training-Thailand 1983

I am so sorry to hear about Leslie's passing. We were roommates during Peace Corps training and living with her made the challenges of adjustment so much easier with her sense of humor, loyalty, kindness and curiosity. May her memory be a blessing to all who loved her. Here is a photo taken during training in Thailand 1983.
