Leslie L. Thimmig

I studied sax with Les back in 1974. I would take the old Badger bus once a week for a private lesson. I spent a semester of grad school at Madison in 1975, and studied composition with him. Starting in 1983 I hired him for national shows at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee for a decade. He was the only person who played each of the five woodwind chairs, and doubled on everything, and did it magnificently. Truly a great musician and a great guy to hang with after a show. Larry Lange
