I just wanted to take this opportunity to let the family know that we are praying daily for all of you. There are no words that I could say that would ever take away the shock and pain that your entire family members are experiencing at this time. Gladys thank you for raising such a wonderful and loving son. You truly are a great mother. To loose a child in such a horrific manner is a pain that no mother wants to experience. Galen was blessed to achieve many things within his 45...

Galen was truly a wonderful young man. I met him while visiting my niece at UNCC. His smile lit up the cafeteria and our families became lifelong friends! My thoughts and prayers are with the Young family. Gladys, thanks for sharing your wonderful son with our family. May God comfort you during this time of loss.

I am simply blown away. I don't even know what to do with this. Galen, Elliot and I attend Bartlett High School 1yr together; I was a senior when they were freshmen/sophomore. Galen loved basketball and always looked out for his younger brother. They were tight. I pray the Lord's peace upon the hearts and minds of Galen's family and friends. This is too much. Lord, help us.
