Galen was truly a wonderful young man. I met him while visiting my niece at UNCC. His smile lit up the cafeteria and our families became lifelong friends! My thoughts and prayers are with the Young family. Gladys, thanks for sharing your wonderful son with our family. May God comfort you during this time of loss.

G, I don’t even have to words to say right now. Man I am still trying to wrap my head around this one. I have been shook up since I got the news. Galen was as good as they come! Pure hearted and real. I love G and will always miss him. Nothing but love to the fam from Flint,Michigan.

I am simply blown away. I don't even know what to do with this. Galen, Elliot and I attend Bartlett High School 1yr together; I was a senior when they were freshmen/sophomore. Galen loved basketball and always looked out for his younger brother. They were tight. I pray the Lord's peace upon the hearts and minds of Galen's family and friends. This is too much. Lord, help us.
